Bengaluru’s famous brewery Toit opened its doors in Pune in January and since then with a refreshing and vibrant vibe is amongst one of the favorite hangouts in the eastern part of the city. This is the same place which was famous as Soho’s in the last decade or so. The property is also said to be on one of the famous historic stables. While Food and Drinks, Ambience and Service are the three essential aspects when people chose any place to go out, this place is good in all these departments. With ample parking space for cars, the first and the most relevant worry is already out of the way by the time you reach the place. The ambience has a rustic charm to the place with stoned like wall at the entrance, a balcony seating and an outside seating with a Banyan tree to accompany you.
The place is obviously famous for its craft beers including Lager, Blonde Ale, Bavarian Hefeweizen , Belgian white beer , Indian Pale Ale amongst others along with Toit cocktails , mocktails and other beverages . The food menu compliments the beers which includes finger food/ bar bites, wood fired pizzas, sandwiches and burgers along with soups, salads , pastas , pub classic mains and desserts . The wood fire pizzas are good. The appetizers and mains have a sub column called ‘from benguluru’ which includes Okra Podi Chips and Chilli cheese bhajji in appetizers and Potato and Green Mango Curry , Mushroom Chettinad, Naadan Chicken Curry, Goan Curry , Pandi Curry , Donne Biryani , Nilgiri Korma in the mains. The Okra Podi chips is a stack of okra seasoned with curry leaves and served with spicy yoghurt dip. If you like it tangy and spicy the potato and green mango curry is a perfect combination of sweet and sour gravy which one could have with either rice, appam or dosas.
