In search of a lip-smacking Pav Bhaji

Whether it is served at street side or in high end swanky restaurants PAV BHAJI has been a favourite dish for all. If you are in search of the tastiest Pav Bhaji this eat out on FC Road will bring you closer to that.  For more than two decades Kirti Fruit Juice Center has been treating its guests mostly college students with lip-smacking, hot Pav Bhaji , amazing Masala Pav , Veg Pulav and host of fruit juices and milk shakes. There is no dearth of good restaurants on FC Road , be it Vaishali, Roopali, Wadeshwar or the likes of Burger King , Venkys , Roomani, Sharvari etc , one cannot afford to miss this one. Located just before the British Council Library, Kirti offers refreshing and fresh fruit juices, milkshakes and delicious and scrumptious snacks.

Especially the Pav Bhaji at Kirti is quite famous and lip-smacking. It has the right amount of everything. It is tangy, full of spices, and all these falvours are blended with the addition of the butter. This Pav Bhaji is unlike any other Pav Bhaji you would find in town as this has a unique taste of its own. The vegetables used in the Bhaji are evidently fresh and there is a right amount of spicy hit from the spices added. The vegetables are perfectly blended without an overload of potatoes in the Bhaji. The Menu offers variations in the Pav Bhaji like Amul, Jain, Spicy, Cheese and Khada Pav Bhaji. If you ask for Amul Pav Bhaji, they serve a generous dollop of Amul butter on the Bhaji. The Pav are soft, fresh and with lots of butter. This comes at a pocket-friendly range of 90 to 110 rupees.

Kirti Fruit Juice Centre also serves a filling Pulav. This pulav is a must-try for rice lovers. The Veg Pulav in Kirti has the perfect combination of rice and vegetables which include peas, capsicum, cauliflower and tomato. The Pulav isn’t spicy but had the perfect amount of spices to it. All of this contributed to a different taste of the Veg Pulav. For people who wish to have spicy food, they have options such as Spicy Pulav and Spicy Pav Bhaji.

If people would like to have a quick snack, the Masala Pav here is also worth a try. The Masala Pav appears to have a different set of masala than the ones in Pav Bhaji. The spiciness of the Masala Pav is well-balanced by the addition of the potato slice in it, making the dish more interesting. The accompaniments include onion and cucumber slices and lemon wedges. Kirti being a Fruit Juice Centre, fruit juices too are a must-try. The juice is evidently fresh without any addition of artificial sweeteners.

The small eat-out with 8-10 tables is decent and clean.

  1. It is interesting to find out a new addition for Pav Bhaji in Pune. Usually, most Punekars only recommend Supreme Pav Bhaji, J M Road. This juice centre and its complimentary dishes seem like a good combination.
