Till a few years back, Ice Creams, thick shakes , fruit desserts were considered a five to ten minute affair may be late in the night after people were done with their dinner . But new entrepreneurs and Ice Cream & Fruit Dessert chains are changing the way people look at these delicacies. Ronak Mehta, Founder Becky Bees has brought in the century old frozen treat back in the market with a twist in the name of “Becky Bees Popsicles”. At present they have opened two 2 outlets, one in Lavasa and the other at Amanora (Kiosk). They are offering Popsicles which are like frozen fruit on a stick, and dessert creations along with ice creams and sorbets.

He added that the uniqueness of this product lies in the fact that it is promoted as a fruit on stick, giving a much needed dose of vitamin and minerals and fiber. – Being a new concept it has received an overwhelming response from people; usually popsicles are always associated with sweetness since Becky Bees popsicles caters to all basic tastes: sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness and umami. We have customers who end up buying popsicles for the entire family when they have actually come to buy one for their kids. At present we have 12 different variety of popsicles available at our outlet like Pineapple passion Popsicle, Fruit of the forest Popsicle, Mandarin orange popsicles etc to name a few.

He said that they wish to expand the concept to other cities as well. Our vision for the next five years is to have at least 100 outlets in India.

Ronak Mehta says Becky Bees wants to recreate the experience of our kids growing up listening to the jingles of the “Popsicle Man” jingling his chime bells surrounded by kids with the launch of the classic candy bicycle making their brand available for everyone across the city in the near future.Currently we have three cycle carts in Pune and wish to grow .
